A preview of the unseen rooms
Our exclusive ‘ticket only’ tours give you a chance to visit areas of the castle rarely seen by visitors
The Special Tour includes a brief history of the Allerton estate and a tour of the main floor rooms as well as the second floor bedchambers and suites not usually open to visitors. We also treat Special Tour guests to a delicious afternoon tea served in the ballroom. We regret that we are unable to cater for special diets.
The Special Tour starts at 1pm with a sherry reception followed by a short history from 1066 and a tour of the first floor rooms. After a break for afternoon tea in the ballroom we ascend the Great Hall Staircase for an exclusive visit to the second floor bedchambers and suites including the State Bedchamber and Dressing Room, as well as the Prince Frederick wing set in the original Georgian house that survived when the Gothic house was built in 1848-1854.
Admission is by ticket only
